About the GTA 5 Mission Friend Request
With Michael now owing $2,500,000 to Martin Madrazo for his mistress’ house, he visits the home of an old friend named Lester Crest.
Once at the Lifeinvader offices, Michael waits at the back entrance as an employee walks outside for his cigarette break and lets him in.
Waiting until Norris reveals the phone, Michael dials the number.
Lester calls, saying the incident has generated a huge profit for him on the stock market, and agrees to help Michael.
About Lester
At an unknown point in time, Lester met and became affiliated with Michael Townley and Trevor Philips, becoming a regular member of their heist crews since the start of their partnership, working mostly as a planner and information scout.
It is stated by Michael during The Merryweather Heist that Lester went against doing the heist depicted in the Prologue, possibly having an idea of what eventually happened.
About Rickie Lukens (the tech with the, err, “virus” problem)
Rickie is first encountered in the Friend Request mission, where he unwittingly helps Michael infiltrate the Lifeinvader Office, as he mistakes Michael for tech support and asks him to remove pornography pop-ups from his computer.
Rickie is subsequently fired from Lifeinvader following Jay Norris’ murder, and calls Michael to offer his services as a programmer, after which he becomes available as a hacker for the subsequent heists.
Michael will be more lenient if an experienced Rickie is unable to turn off the sprinklers, only asking him to be more prepared next time.
If Rickie is chosen for the first time during the Subtle approach for The Big Score, there will be a considerable four-second lag time when Franklin is controlling the traffic lights.
If Rickie is not chosen for any heists, he will call Michael to complain. .
